UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital is a 204-bed, not-for-profit community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our 10-county service area. United Medical Park and Prairie Parkway offer outpatient care in facilities that are built for your comfort and convenience. Established team of physicians and Advanced Practitioners
Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic seeing 100 + new patients monthly
Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community
Full-time position including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
Infusion, Lab, and Clinic onsite
Social Work, Nurse Navigator, Dietician Research RN, Genetic Counselor, Tumor registrar, and Pharmacist onsite
Supportive administration and full IT system support
Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination.
Beacon to improve patient care and personalize treatment options
Practice includes full-service infusion and typical outpatient oncology Clinic
Average 12-14 Patients per day per provider
Tumor Board meets 2X Month for Breast and Lung/General 3X Monthly
Opportunities to get involved in Clinical Trials and Research
Procedures include infusion, lab, bone marrow biopsy onsite
Flexible Call with average 2-3 inpatients
BC a hematopatholgist and experienced pathology team available onsite
Large Hospitalist team supports specialists
Community Outreach to include prevention and detection services
Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
MD or DO
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
J-1 waiver sponsorship available
