Performs a variety of tasks for patients, residents, and cafeteria customers related to the service of food such as working in areas, taking phone calls, passing patient trays, washing dishes, restocking supplies, and setting up and taking down catering functions. Lead the department to efficiently process orders and is responsible for the kitchen in the absence of a manager. Leads the food service team to complete tasks with minimal error and in a timely manner. Follows and maintains good sanitation and safety procedures in work areas. Adheres to MercyOne Northeast Iowa's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne Northeast Iowa. High school diploma plus specialized training required; culinary arts training preferred. Serv safe certificate (provided after hire). Minimum of 2 years experience with large quantity cooking/baking. Basic language, intermediate math, intermediate reasoning ability. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to follow recipes.
