Assigns ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes and modifiers to clinic patients ensuring optimal reimbursement and compliance. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne. Completion of an accredited HIM Technology program, or AHIMA Independent Study Program in Coding preferred. Courses in coding and medical terminology preferred. RHIT-eligible, CCS, AHIMA Coding Certificate preferred. CPC preferred. No prior experience required with completion of HIM Technology program or with AHIMA independent study program.
