Position Overview We are currently seeking Ophthalmic Tech for our Ophthalmology Practice located at Skokie Hospital in Skokie, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. This position will have rotating hours, in addition to rotating weekends. Travel to and between other NorthShore sites may be required. Responsibilities In this role, you will: + Follow work flows for incoming and outgoing orders, checking in, documentation, patient notification, record keeping + Maintain NorthShore standards of cleanliness in retail space, waiting areas, storage areas and lab Qualifications Our ideal candidate will have: + Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent + Certification at the COA or ABO level is required within 2 year of employment + Current CPR certifications (BLS) is required + 12 months of on the job training is required + Certification at the COT, COMT or ABOM level is encouraged + 24 months of steady employment is preferred Please explore our website (www.northshore.org) to better understand how NorthShore delivers on its mission "to preserve and improve human life" through superior clinical care, academic excellence and innovative research.
