DeVry Education Group Director, Strategic Business Development in United States

In support of the company’s growth mission, the Director, Sales - Channel Leader is responsible for developing and expanding channel strategies for Financial Services and adjacent markets. The incumbent will work to achieve financial growth through the development and retention of channel relationships. Working directly with Sales, Marketing and Product Leadership, the successful candidate will create and execute strategic channel programs and define long-term organizational goals. Additionally, the Director, Sales will identify new business opportunities, manage key channel relationships and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

  • Research symbiotic partner opportunities with strong potential in current, new or adjacent markets for expansion.

  • Identify initial channel concepts and programs including identifying prospective sales channel partners to evaluate

  • Utilize internal subject matter experts and external research to formulate a supporting vision of prioritized market opportunities

  • Develop comprehensive business cases to define opportunities, their relative potential for the business, and necessary resources for success

  • Communicate and present to executive leadership to promote support for the vision, provide performance updates, and secure needed resources

  • Define, direct, and oversee channel sales policies, objectives, and programs to stand up new channels

  • Set and achieve goals in support of assigned revenue targets and evaluate effectiveness of current programs

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders in support of executing objectives and strategy

  • Define and recommend high level business, product or service enhancements achieve growth targets

  • Identify, build, and retain relationships with key partners/affiliates/resellers within targeted channels while representing their needs to internal teams to ensure success

  • Set performance expectations with partners and manage available resources in support of targets

  • Work with key stakeholders to implement a process to monitor and track channel (Partner/Affiliate/Reseller) revenue

  • Work with partners/affiliates to ensure consistent brand and product representation

  • Attend in-person and virtual industry events representing the company

  • Complete other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree required with Master’s degree preferred.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in channel sales

  • Proven record of sales P&L responsibility preferred.

  • Strong leadership and sales acumen required

  • Skilled relationship builder and negotiator combined with excellent oral and written communication.

  • Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to sell to a national market.

  • Team player who understands the importance of winning together

  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with others in a team-based environment.

  • Self-starting, self-motivating, highly organized individual with a strong work ethic.

  • Microsoft Office and CRM skills required.
