Head of Cloud Marketing, JAPAC Preferred Qualifications Head of Cloud Marketing, JAPAC Location: JAPAC (Reports to VP of Marketing & Business Development, JAPAC) Objectives of the role, tasks, and expectations: + The person in this role will act as the primary marketing interface to the Cloud business leaders at JAPAC divisional and regional levels for the offerings and market segment that he/she manages. He/she develops a thorough understanding of the market and supports the overall strategy for the market segment including offering plans, channels/routes to market and business case documented in the marketing plan. He/she is responsible for enabling the regional marketing teams and developing the marketing plan which includes the overall market segmentation model and priorities within it; the market positioning and Oracle's value proposition within the market segment; and prioritization of marketing programs to meet both thought leadership, pipeline coverage and revenue goals. + End to end responsibility for overseeing the JAPAC Cloud Marketing Plan. Lead enable and drive execution (in partnership with the regional execution teams) of Oracle JAPAC Cloud marketing plans based on knowledge of near- and long-term objectives, evolving business needs and priorities, changing market landscape and competitive intelligence supporting Oracles Cloud portfolio. + Focusing on Demand Management, he/she takes the lead in enabling an integrated and dynamic marketing strategy to support the Cloud business future quarter’s pipeline build. He/she provides guidance on segmentation, market positioning, messaging, value propositions and differentiation into the marketing programs to effectively meet the needs of the customer audiences and market segment. + This person needs to be skilled in cross-functional teams across multiple countries to help formulate the Cloud marketing strategy and execution plans to improve overall marketing performance. He/she will coordinate marketing inputs for key cross-functional objectives, gather business and market intelligence, synthesize customer insights, harness demand management methodology/output, to deliver an integrated JAPAC Cloud marketing plan with clear investment prioritization. He/she needs to partner with county leaders and shifting competitive landscape, to continue to refine the marketing plan to maximise ROI. + Serve as the strategic control & integration point for Corporate Marketing and work across the Oracle JAPAC Marketing organization. + Stakeholder Management. Ensure complete alignment with business stakeholders. Act as marketing advisor to regional business leaders, and content marketing advisor to country marketing leaders. + Transformational Leadership: Effectively manage the marketing budget and make decisions and enable the regions regarding investment levels for targeted customer segments and market opportunities. Create and communicate goals, objectives and KPI's. Required skills and qualifications: + Bachelor degree in marketing or business management. MBA preferred. + 15 years of relevant experience in integrated marketing management, cloud marketing, business user marketing. + Strong domain and market knowledge of JAPAC Cloud market and competitive landscape. + Excellent understanding of the needs of sales teams and ability to translate business needs into successful marketing plans. + A thorough understanding of strategic planning and market segmentation methodology. + Prior experience with a major MNC in a regional capacity working across multiple functions and corporate/global-regional-country stakeholders. Detailed Description and Job Requirements Plans, executes, and measures demand generation marketing programs that result in growth of sales pipeline and revenue for Field Sales organization. Develop and implement all field marketing activities within own business area to ensure achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Contributes to the line-of-business and geography marketing strategy. Be an active member of the global Marketing team to ensure consistency of strategic marketing programs. Disseminate key corporate information to the line-of-business and geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Actively develop new approaches and opportunities for expanding company business base. Act as a liaison with senior management to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Direct marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the line-of-business and/or the geography. Ensure consistency between global directions and line-of-business/single-geography implementation choices. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a line-of-business/geographical basis. Manage line-of-business/geographical social media strategy. Manage line-of-business/geographical social media strategy. Manage relationships with major suppliers, agencies, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives. Provide effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business & market needs. Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. E-business Internet practical know-how. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable.
