Description:
Under limited supervision, assists in developing, implementing and evaluating worksite wellness programs as requested by the onsite nurses and employers. Assists with the development and implementation of marketing and public relations programs to enhance the business position of MercyOne Business Health Services. Assists in administering onsite nursing services at the request of businesses.

What you will do:
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service/care appropriate to the age of the patients served, in accordance with MercyOne standards.
Assists in planning, developing, and evaluating wellness screening and assessment criteria and protocols for area employers; assists in development of policies and procedures as needed.
Develops and provides wellness programs and onsite nursing /activities in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team in accordance with the most current research and national trends to promote the maximum level of wellness and quality of life to the employees of the worksites being served.
Performs wellness assessments and records data, as needed.
Assists in providing leadership for the health coaching service line. Is a formally trained health coach.
Oversees the maintenance of wellness equipment and supplies.
Is knowledgeable of onsite nursing roles and duties – assists in developing and training new nurses.
Creates wellness resource for onsite occupational health staff. Communicates pertinent information to nurses in a timely manner and appropriate follow up for evaluation.
Assists in the design and coordination of health fairs, wellness screenings and onsite occupational health testing.
Assists Coordinator in the development and implementation of a marketing plan designed to increase or maintain MercyOne Business Health Services market share.
Oversees monthly wellness calendar of events.
Provides health and wellness education utilizing a multitude of media’s including group presentations, support group facilitation, creative use of media (i.e., games, quizzes, etc.), newsletter contribution, etc.
Serves on wellness committees as requested.
Assists in coordinating marketing efforts of worksite wellness.
Assists in overseeing and maintaining Health Risk Appraisal software system.
Uses effective communication principles to coordinate care with other health care providers.
Is knowledgeable of and actively participates in improving patient safety and reducing risk to patients. Complies with Safety and Infection Control & Procedure.
What we are looking for:
Must be a Registered Nurse with current license, Bachelor of Science in nursing is preferred.
Completion of a nationally recognized formal Health Coaching program, i.e., Welcoa, Intrinsic Health coaching, etc., preferred.
Basic Life Support Certification (BCLS) is required.
A minimum of 1-2 years experience in worksite wellness preferred.
A minimum of 3-5 years previous nursing experience in community health, occupational health, or emergency room is preferred.
Is able to communicate effectively with customers and all members of the health care team.
Is able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.
Required to travel within the Siouxland region in order to perform job duties and responsibilities as assigned. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance must be submitted by the employee to their manager and will be maintained throughout employment.
