Requirements
What you will do:
Assists in development, implementation and monitoring company environmental, health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations.
Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment, to minimize the hazardous potential.
Assists with assessments, employee training, incident investigations, inspections, data collection/analysis, program/procedure writing and internal audits.
Supports safety program for multiple sites.
Assists with managing emergency action, spill response and fire prevention plans, and helps to ensure appropriate training, practice drills and equipment are in a ready state.
Review and update written OSHA related programs.
Coordinate with functional team leaders in the areas of Quality, Maintenance, HR, and Production to ensure regulatory compliance.
Build and foster a safety culture among all employees.
Organize and participate in safety committee activities.
Provide expert technical support in identifying, and resolving, critical regulatory issues.
Assist with Injury and Claim Management.
Ability to demonstrate our company values in everyday work interactions.
All other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
High school diploma or GED
Prefer Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in health and industrial safety, occupational safety management or related field preferred
EHS Certifications preferred: Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), National Safety Council Certifications, OSHA Training Institute Certifications
