VT iDirect Manager Customer Oriented Validation in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium
We are looking to hire an experienced leader to manage our Customer Oriented Validation team. This team will engage and collaborate with customers to design and implement end-to-end real-world customer use-case systems and execute customer test cases both in manual and automated methodologies on iDirect platforms. This team will act as the first adopters of new releases, i.e. “alpha” customers, and their testing will be the final stage of testing to ensure that the system/product meets the customer technical needs and requirements.
Lead a team which will engage and collaborate with customers/PLM/Sales force to collect info/data on customers vision and use case requirements (short and long term) for new products
Design/implement customer centric complex Evolution and Velocity end-to-end systems/networks that will mimic real-world customer networks and usability
Develop/execute customer use case test plans
Lead a team will test and validate new Network Designs/arch provided by Solutions Team, PLM
Actively contribute on documentation review
Engage with customers engineering teams for Release Verification/Validation and Joint Testing.
Engage with customers engineering teams for planning and reviewing customers deployment plans, upgrades and implementation
Assist customers engineering teams with Beta testing and early lab drops
Assist customers to adopt/consume new product to accelerate time to market
Report bugs and defects on Jira for PO’s to assess/prioritize
Submit enhancement requests based on UX to PMs to assess/prioritize
Test/validate new “Verified” solutions provided by PLM.
Provide periodic reports on Products KPIs against customer use case requirements
Provide TAC with high-level training on new products pre-GA and assistance with new products during “launching phase”
Collect periodic feedback (Pre/Post-Release) from customers, PLM, sales and TAC on new Products.
Experience overseeing and managing a customer focused team and Alpha/Beta and acceptance testing frameworks and applications to ensure the implementation of manual and automated test solutions.
Experience in a test organization including, defining, training, enforcing and executing standards and compliance, results-based key performance indicators (KPI’s), defect prevention techniques, testing tool standards and reports.
Ability to work collaboratively with hardware and software development engineering teams.
Hands-on experience with tools like: Contour/Spirateam or other test management tools, Jenkins and JIRA or other issue/project tracking software
Previous experience designing and developing test frameworks for enterprise applications.
Experience in implementing Customer-first approach.
Experience on effectively communicating with customers for planning and engagements.
Experience in planning Pre/Post release customer and Engineering engagement for collaborative and effective delivery of products
Expert at building and managing test cases – technically able to understand complex systems and know how to develop tests plans for them.
Ability to lead teams spread across various geographies and time zones.
BS/MS Degree in Engineering – Computer Science or equivalent.
7+ years of Customer Operations Environment and management experience
7+ years of Satellite Communication and IP experience
7+ year’s working knowledge building out test teams and Alpha/Beta/Acceptance testing.
3+ years Working Knowledge of Management and Lead experience
