REPORTS TO: AVP Commercial Lending/Services

BRANCH LOCATION: 811 St. Michael's Drive, Santa Fe, NM 87505

JOB STATUS: Exempt

SUPERVISES: Business Service Specialist

SALARY: $59,201.22 - $88,801.83

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Services Manager will work as a liaison between business members, commercial lending staff, and other departments with the primary goal of ensuring that the Credit Union is delivering excellent member service in all aspects of the Credit Union’s business services. The position will be responsible for developing and cultivating trusted relationships with internal and external centers of influence, educating members and Credit Union staff regarding business services, assessing risk for new business member products and services, ensuring accurate documentation is collected for business accounts and services, and managing day-to-day functions of the business services department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years financial institution experience.

  • Minimum of three years management/supervisory experience required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite.

  • Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the members and general public.

    ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Represent the Credit Union to the members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient and accurate service.

  • Serve as the Credit Union’s subject matter expert for all business products and services.

  • Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring Credit Union staff regarding business services.

  • Contribute to the Credit Union’s strategic initiatives for the Business Services Department while assisting staff in recognizing and understanding the reasoning behind those decisions.

  • Partner with branch leadership or other team members and serve as the primary point of contact for the Business Services Department.

  • Analyze and manage department goals, financial performance, and expenses.

  • Identify productivity initiatives and drive implementation.

  • Develop new and existing member relationships through networking, cross-selling opportunities, and referrals to and from departments within the Credit Union.

  • Identify appropriate prospects within defined target markets, create and manage an effective prospect list and perform activities to ensure growth of the department.

  • Proactively manages business member relationships by identifying their financial needs, delivering solutions to meet those needs, and providing excellent member service.

  • Ensures that member documents and disclosures comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies.

  • Partner with other departments regarding future business products and services, policies and procedures, and technology in an effort to grow and meet the demands of an evolving market.

  • Manage member communication with high quality standards.

  • Understand compliance issues and regulations and attend training as directed.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
