In this role you will support the construction and maintenance teams at our largest US location. We’re looking for a high integrity leader, with a strong background in environmental, health and safety (EHS) in the construction field who understands that relationship building is the key to success.

What You’ll Do

  1. Provide field environmental, health & safety oversight of multiple construction projects through the design, build and qualification process . E nsures compliance with l ocal, s tate and f ederal environmental, health & safety regulations.

  2. Review high hazard work prior to execution to include critical lifts, confined space entries, high voltage work, pressure testing, fall protection plans, trench and excavation operations etc.

  3. Participate in project kick off meetings and establish EHS site specific expectations.

  4. Facilitate safety meetings where safety trends, gap analyses, and mitigation plans are communicated.

  5. Perform frequent combined environmental, health, and safety inspections / audits in the field and have the skills, knowledge and ability to take immediate corrective action if required .

  6. Lead and document accident/incident investigations to determine root cause (s) , prevention and corrective measures.

    What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science or related field and seven years’ experience in the field; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Certification as a GSP, CSP, CIH, CHST, or CHMM preferred.

  • Previous MSHA experience preferred.

  • Dynamic risk assessment experience.
