JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW: Position: Human Resources Manager Location: Park City, UT / Woodward PA / Remote Option Available Job Status: Full-Time, Year Round JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager will be an essential member of Woodward Camp Group leadership team, reporting to the Woodward Camp Group General Manager. The successful applicant will have a strong knowledge of all HR practices including but not limited to management of the employee life cycle, training, HRIS, employee relations, benefit administration and payroll. This will position will sit in Park City, Utah, and support Woodward businesses in Park City, California, and Pennsylvania. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The HR Manager should be knowledgeable in a broad array of HR practice. Must be willing to evolve and adapt with the needs of the business. * Willing to adhere to and support all work protocols and guidelines regarding COVID-19. * Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. * Develop and implement thoughtful and appropriate policies, procedures and practices. Periodically (no less than annually) review and make recommendations to management for improvement of such. * Conduct and continually improve employee onboarding. * Create cohesive process around hiring practice, background checks, pay structure, staff training and communication, performance management, and employee engagement. * Ensure SafeSport training consistently administered. * facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. * Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics for all locations * Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. * Develop and manage all employment transaction processes, including new hires, salary changes, promotions, etc. * Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training. Participate in all recruiting activities to include all aspects of screening, interviewing, hiring and orientation of new staff. * Develop and administer Leaves of Absence policies and program. * Maintain all required LOA documents and recordkeeping. * Develop efficient procedures to create employee records electronically and hard copies as needed. Assure all records including personnel files, wage date, medical and EEO information are maintained in and orderly, assessable, and confidential manner. * Manage benefits administration for all business unit locations. * Able to work weekends, holidays, and nights as needed. * Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, be it weather, timelines, or other circumstances. * Other duties as assigned. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS: * Seasonal staffing and hiring experience preferred. * Comfortable working in a start up environment. * Knowledge of California employment laws a plus. * 5+ years experience in HR preferred. * Previous work with a seasonal business preferred. * Willingness to learn HR employment law in multiple states. * PHR, SHRM-CP or willingness to obtain preferred. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, comfortable presenting and deploying new technologies. * Demonstrated broad technical knowledge of Human Resources Management techniques. * Working knowledge of government (state and federal) regulations and their applications, including: FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Wage-Hour laws, AAP, Workers Compensation, Unemployment. * Ability to project manage and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time. * Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. * Is creative. Can conceptualize ideas. Can think "outside the box." Has the ability to implement ideas. * Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team. BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS: * A valid driver's license is required. * Willing to travel up to 60% of the time durign regular camp season. * Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, and lift 50 lbs. * Must be comfortable working in an all-season environment. * Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings. * Travel up to 60% of the time during regular camp season. * Must successfully-pass a background screening to ensure suitability of contact with minor children and the public, in accordance with Federal, state and local jurisdictions.
