Alene Candles Inventory Control Analyst I - B Shift in New Albany, Ohio
Alene Candles is looking for a detail-oriented team member to join our Finance department. This position is located in New Albany, Ohio and will serve our two Ohio plants with occasional remote coverage of our New Hampshire facility. This position reports directly to the Inventory Control Manager, also located in Ohio, and will work cross-functionally throughout the organization with the main goal of inventory accuracy in Alene’s ERP system, as well as our customers’. The Inventory Control Analyst I contributes to inventory integrity at Alene through daily postings of finished goods inventory production and component receipts to customer inventory records (ERP system) while also updating Alene’s ERP system for the invoicing of finished goods.
This position requires attention to detail and great communication skills which will aid this fast-paced and growing company in successfully growing to the next level.
Accurately post finished good production in customer’s ERP system through verification and discrepancy resolution.
Accurately report vendor managed inventory receipts into their ERP system and communicate issues.
Monitor and verify parts in stock.
Post transactions in Alene’s ERP system to move company-owned inventory to customer-owned inventory
Extract key data from customer’s ERP system to note in Alene’s ERP system to ensure traceability of cash application transactions.
Monitor customer ERP system and internal records for posting discrepancies. Resolve and communicate, as necessary.
Participate in company-wide and department-specific process improvement projects.
Assist Inventory Control Manager in all physical inventories to ensure accuracy and a quick turnaround (both Alene and Customer focused).
Attend and actively participate in production/planning meetings to maintain working knowledge of manufacturing process and known issues.
Ensure all production, receipts, and other transactions are completed by each month end.
Other duties as assigned by the Inventory Control Manager.
1-3 years relevant experience in Finance or Inventory Control based position, manufacturing preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
Strong work ethic, ability to work autonomously.
Time management skills and ability to multitask efficiently.
High level ability to organize and understand large amounts of data.
Robust problem-solving skills and meticulousness.
Demonstrated ability to work well in collaborative environment.·
Substantial capacity for following through tasks to completion.
Knowledge of inventory concepts, practices, and procedures.
Advanced computer skills and various software programs including Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with IFS and SAP a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
