Henry County Health Center Surgical Technologist in Mount Pleasant, Iowa
The surgical technologist assists with care of the surgical patient during the intraoperative phase of care. The CST is very knowledgeable and skilled using surgical instrumentation.
Provides patient care activities directed toward the perioperative patients comfort and personal needs.
Protects patient sensitivities and right to privacy.
Maintains patient confidentiality by following all HIPAA policies and procedures.
Participates in surgical safety time-out procedures and processes.
Checks all supplies for expiration dates prior to use.
Participates in completion of daily assignments.
Acts as a resource person regarding surgical instrumentation and supplies, orientation and staff teaching.
Required:
Certification as a surgical technologist is required within the first year of employment
Preferred:
Graduate of an accredited program of surgical technology preferred
At least one year of surgical tech experience preferred
