Description:

Position Purpose:

CT Technologist maintains all standards of the Computed Tomography (CT) area established by the Imaging Department.

What you will Do:

  • Performs CT examination per policy/procedure

  • Demonstrates competency of image management utilizing RIS, HIS, PACS and AW workstation

  • Demonstrates competency of venipuncture for all ages.

  • Provides competent patient care to the above indicated patient populations by obtaining and appropriately interpreting data, making appropriate decisions based on demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development, and appropriately adapting procedures and treatments.

  • Proactively identifies safety concerns surrounding the work environment.

Hours/Schedule:

Full time, working primarily day shifts with varied hours. Rotating days and holidays. (1) weekend, every 8th weekend.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be credentialed in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT). Must possess current IDPH Permit to Practice.

  • Must be credentialed in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 months of hire date.

  • Must provide proof of Basic Life Support ( BLS Provider -American Heart Association or Professional Rescuer-American Red Cross) prior to employment or within 30 days of hire and maintains current status.

  • Must provide proof of Mandatory Reporting for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse training prior to employment or within 6 months of hire and maintain current status.
