About The Job:

The Billing Coordinator coordinates and processes all home medical equipment referrals, consignments as well as filing insurance claims and processing records. They perform their duties in a manner consistent with medical center philosophy and policy in areas relating to accounts receivable public relations, and third-party relations.

What we are looking for:

Education [formal]:

Associate Degree or business college courses that equate preferred.


Completion of medical terminology course or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Demonstrated competence in a medical insurance setting for six months to one year preferred

Special Skills and Competencies:

Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with other employees and with the public regardless of economic status, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability or ability to pay.

Must possess sufficient logic skills to make necessary judgment expediting work flow.

Must be detail orientated and able to prioritize.

Ability to understand, interpret and explain insurance benefits.

Knowledge of medical equipment and its uses

Must have demonstrated competence in the use of personal computer using Windows, Excel Spreadsheets and Word.

Ability to type 55 WPM preferred. Completes the following mandatory courses
