Actalent Lab Technician in Johnston, Iowa

Description:

Main responsibility will be sample extractions

Pipetting of reagents; taking three different tubes with different reagents solutions to make a bulk master mix sample.

Putting master mix samples onto 96 well PCR plate with DNA traits.

May help with running the PCR and some computer work

May help with storing plates in the 'blue' boxes that are put into a freezer for 1 month; will also discard old samples.

Understanding of SOPs

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

AA or BS in Life Science or related degree. Needs to know how to pipette! Ideally looking for candidates with familiarity with PCR and DNA Extraction
