Buchanan County Health Center Radiology Technologist in Independence, Iowa
The technical skills and responsibilities of the Radiology Technologist are directed towards the production of a wide variety of diagnostic procedures. Under the direction of a radiologist, functions at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Works closely with other radiographers and ancillary personnel to provide direct patient care and diagnostic exams. Produces radiographs using techniques to ensure optimal images with lowest possible radiation to the patient. This position requires independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to function with limited supervision while interacting with both the patient and other medical staff. May have individual responsibility for specified diagnostic procedures or the management of a designated procedure room.
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Must be graduate of an approved two year Rad Tech program.
Current ARRT registration and Iowa state license is required.
CPR Certification is required.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
CT experience preferred.
Must have the ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others.
Maintains commitment and enthusiasm to goal achievement. Excellent team player and communication skills required.
