Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing:• Supervises nursing team members whom provide direct resident care• Communicates with all health care providers and partners• Coordinates and implements nursing care as ordered by the physician and agreed to by the resident• Documents resident status / care / services in a timely, accurate, and comprehensive manner• Responsible for the provision of nursing services within the scope of licensure and in compliance with current standards of practice and corporate / care center policies and procedures• Follows the plan of care and ensures the overall health and well-being of each resident


• Must have an unrestricted and active Iowa (or compact state) nursing license• Experience in skilled nursing / long term care (LTC) preferred• Knowledge and understanding of federal and state nursing facility rules and regulations, including licensing, OSHA, CDC, and Public Safety• As an LPN, the Iowa Board of Nursing requires the completion of a Board-approved supervision course within six (6) months of working in a charge / supervisory capacity• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language
