UnityPoint Health Manager Pharmacy-Grinnell in Grinnell, Iowa

Functions as the Pharmacist-In-Charge for the designated Pharmacy Department as defined by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners. Oversees the coordination of all aspects of medication distribution and pharmaceutical care. Performs human resources functions, including hiring, training, corrective action, evaluations and staff development. Serves a key role in making recommendations for annual goals, objectives, and budget. Fosters a positive work culture by building and maintaining relationships with team members.

  • A minimum of four years of hospital pharmacy experience required

  • Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English

  • Proficiency in navigating the electronic medical record

  • Pharmacy supervisory or managerial experienc preferred


  • Must attain a license to practice Pharmacy in Iowa within six months of employment. Must be directly supervised by a licensed pharmacist until Iowa Pharmacist license is obtained

  • Must maintain current license to practice pharmacy in Iowa and be in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners

  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
