Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse orRegisteredNurse with valid Iowa licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Mandatory Reporter Certification
Job Description:
- Followsschool health policies and procedures
- Maintains accurate and complete health records
- Monitors specific health conditions, which can have an impact on learning.
- Follows the Individual Health Plan to assist all school staff in meeting student's health needs.
- Follows the planof care and health needs of students.Health plans are listed in the nurse binder with student health files.
- Monitors for outbreaks of infectious and or communicable diseases. Works with appropriate public health agencies when necessary.
- Provides emergency care when needed.
- Administers medication listedby school nurseand documented on the medication administration record.
- If necessary consults with administration, parent/guardian and school personnel to keep the school informed about pertinent health problems and needs of students.
- Supervises the administration of health services by non-licensed personnel as appropriate if necessary.
- Monitors, treats employees with injuries
- Follows the nurse schedule shared with the substitute nurse along with PowerSchool information.
- Other duties as necessary.
Physical Requirements:Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking.
Pay:$130.50 day
