Aramark Healthcare+ has an immediate opening for a Patient Services Director at UPH Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, IA.

SIGN ON BONUS: $10,000

Job Summary:

  • Plans, administers, directs and controls, under direction of the Department Director, all unit activities related to resident/patient nutrition care and food service to ensure high quality standards of operation.

  • Complies with the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies and client.

  • Develops and implements cost effective, profit-generating nutrition programs.

  • Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages ongoing competency evaluation program of Food Service Staff in assigned areas, including age-specific competency assessment as needed.

  • Achieves patient/resident satisfaction scores for both internal and external patient satisfaction with food service questions.

  • Develops, updates and maintains policies, procedures and standards for the provision of optimal, cost-effective nutritional care to patients/residents.

  • Implements, directs, coordinates and controls patient/resident food services to provide food service for customers, employees, patient/residents and outpatients.

  • Implements and evaluates test trays, food tasting, portion control and tray line checklist, meal rounds and Adopt-a-Floor programs to ensure high quality meals served at the appropriate temperature and in an attractive manner. Initiates actions to correct identified problems.

  • Directs activities of the clinical nutrition manager and food service supervisors to ensure high quality, cost effective nutritional care to patients/residents.

  • Coordinates and evaluates patient/resident food service standards to ensure patient/resident satisfaction with meals and nourishment; and initiates action to correct any problems.

  • Develops short-term and long-term goals and objectives for patient/resident food service to maintain high quality care and programs consistent with Aramark and the facility's goals and objectives.

  • Develops, implements, and monitors inservice education programs for patient/resident services staff to provide documented continuing education and training.

  • Manages and controls resources and materials to ensure quality and adequacy of supplies. Resources and materials may include patient/resident menus: traymats, tents and napkins: satisfaction surveys and nutritional supplements.

  • Accountable for oversight and revenue generation for clinical nutrition services.

  • Administers Diet office activities. This includes processing nutrition-care orders, menu correction and communication to ensure compliance with standards and maintain an effective, efficient and responsive office.



  • Position requires a Bachelor?s degree (BA) from a 4-year college or university, plus 2 years? experience as a Clinical Dietitian.

  • Position requires Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and Licensed or Certified Dietitian status, if practicing in a state with licensure or certification.

  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of client and support staff.

  • Ability to write letters, summaries and reports, using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

  • Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, client and Aramark information.
