Diagnostic Radiographer/Limited Computed Tomography Technologist
FTE: .8 (Full-time, 32 hours per week)
Shift: 12 hour day shifts w/ rotating weekends

A high responsibility is required in the performance of general diagnostic x-ray procedures.
Performs a variety of general diagnostic procedures requiring limited supervision.
Responsible for radiation safety as related to patient, staff, and self.
Performs related radiology computer and clerical duties.
Assumes individual responsibility for portions of the departmental quality assurance program.
If qualified, may administer IV contrast media under the supervision of a physician.
Assists radiology students in clinical procedures.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned by the Clinical Supervisor or Manager.
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide radiology care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Documents radiology care consistent with documentation guidelines.
Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
Participates in department operations demonstrating professional behaviors to include supporting goals of the Radiology Department and maintaining awareness of resource utilization.
Participation in non-direct patient care activities including educational activities, quality assurance activities, department meetings, and other related activities.
Demonstrates positive customer relations skills.
Provides a variety of services related to patient transportation and daily department cleaning.
Provides environmental duties as assigned.
Exhibits knowledge and skills to operate Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) , Radiology Information System (RIS) and electronic medical record (EMR).
Adheres to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Licensure/Certification:
State of Iowa License as a Radiographer.
Accredited national certification Registered Technologist, Radiology RT(R).
Experience:
Previous experience as a RT(R) is desired.
Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
Organizational and time management skills
Basic computer skills.
Certification/Course:
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required
