What you will do:
Assumes responsibility, authority and accountability for the Diagnostic Imaging Department during their respective shift.
Develops and implements department objectives in collaboration with staff.
Maintains open and positive communication with staff, physicians, and other departments.
Presents a positive image to community and professional contacts.
Counsels and monitors performance of staff; conducts performance appraisals; promotes staff development.
Promotes staff compliance of objectives and the implementation of procedures and policies.
Conducts interviews for prospective employees; works with the Personnel Department in recruiting/hiring new personnel
Promotes professionalism with the department, hospital, and community, acts as a role model.
Qualifications
Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology Technology.
Successful completion of an accredited two year Radiologic Technology program.
Minimum three years hospital experience.Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
Registry eligible or Registered Radiologic Technologist; and maintain active registry status.
Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice
Participates in professional society (i.e., ISRT or SCD)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire
