UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. Established and growing practice within a large multi-hospital health system network with multiple academic affiliation agreements.
Joining a team of 7 physicians and 1 Nurse Practitioner
Extensive subspecialty representation in the outpatient office including Epilepsy, Headache, Movement Disorder, Neuromuscular, Neurophysiology, and Stroke
EMU/inpatient continuous EEG monitoring available
Currently a Primary Stroke Center with plan in process to become Thrombectomy-Capable Comprehensive Stroke Center
Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
Experienced nurses with combined 175 years of experience in neurology. You will have your own neurology nurse.
Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Excellent Neuroradiology department, quarterly Neuroradiology conference
Zero call responsibilities, as hospital call is managed by neurohospitalists
Opportunities for administration involvement – Examples: development of memory disorders clinic, neurology site lead, system level committees
Clinical research opportunities available
MD or DO
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology; Stroke fellowship preferred
Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
J-1 waiver sponsorship available
