Responsibilities
Health Practice Area
The position is remote, with occasional client site visits to Nashville, Tennessee
Specific Responsibilities
- Provides direct project management and assistance across multiple projects and clients
- Provide daily client and project support either onsite or via phone/email
- Schedules, prepares for, attends, and actively participates or leads business design sessions, project status meetings, and any other project related meetings
- Records, prepares, and distributes meeting minutes and action items
- Assists and/or leads in the Development and management of project plans to achieve objectives
- Manage the creation of business analysis documents, test strategies, workflow diagrams and quality assurance recommendations to meet business needs for assigned project
- Provides customer support by leading client demos and presentations
- Produces deliverables including meeting agendas, data analysis, status reports and other work products
- Identifies, documents, resolves and/or escalates issues to management clearly and timely
- Review project and related operational processes and provide input for improvements
- Identifies, tracks, and manages project risks including risk mitigation strategies
- Interact daily with state clients and internal customers regarding system status and day-to-day processing
- Manage system integration and user acceptance testing including test results in comparison to expected results
- Provides assistance in the implementation of the State of Tennessee Medicaid Agency (TennCare) projects to include but not limited to: Therap, PERLSS, Data Eco System, Provider Support Management and varies MMIS initiatives
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with Medicaid Enterprise Systems, including Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS)
- Vendor management and relationship building
- Able to work with a diverse range of people
Required Skills
- 1 - 2 plus years of relevant work experience in the fields of health care, government, or the consulting field
- Experience performing within an IT Project Lifecycle (i.e., Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum) for large scale information technology initiatives
- Excellent organizational, oral presentation and written communication skills
- Ability to facilitate productive meetings with clients and the project team
- Ability to recognize issues and identify solutions
- Ability to manage the evaluation and improvement of current processes.
- 2+ years of prior project management experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks or clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Preferred Experience
- Experience with TennCare Medicaid Enterprise programs and policies
- PMI Project Management Professional certification
