What You Will Do :
This thought leader in Clinical Solutions will be responsible for developing and delivering care transformation with provider and payer clients. The ideal candidate will be a licensed physician who brings extensive healthcare industry experience with a proven track record of delivering innovative clinical and strategic solutions based on data analytics to hospitals and health systems, physician practices, and payers.
You will participate in and drive business development and relationship management activities for Guidehouse clients and provide leadership for structuring and integrating our current offerings combining meaningful analytics to serve their needs. This position will collaborate with colleagues across the Payer/Provider Division to integrate and advance clinical solutions for our clients in response to the evolving market demand.
This role will have responsibility for the following:
Client Relationship Management
Across active engagements, strategize with consultant teams on project approach, facilitating communications, and managing risk
Drive quality and standards of work product. Ensure superior engagement quality
Maintain strong relationships with C-level contacts at client healthcare organizations
Develop and instill best practices throughout the organization.
Business Development
Serve as a thought leader in the public domain and assist in building the Guidehouse Healthcare brand
Leverage the firm’s existing healthcare industry relationships and develop new relationships to develop new clients and expand existing client relationships
Serve as content expert for clinical and operational client issues across providers and payers
Consulting Staff Leadership
Drive innovation of products to assist clients with readiness for healthcare reform
Direct line management for consultants assigned to client engagements
Bringing Expertise
Ability to advise clients regarding clinical and care transformation initiatives, engaging physicians, clinicians, and other key stakeholders to achieve the desired results and outcomes
Experience with innovative hospital systems and/or payers as a CMO (or similar leadership) accountable for overall clinical integration to achieve clinical outcomes.
Work with full and partial risk capitation, bundled payments, shared savings arrangements and pay-for-performance to insure physicians and all clinicians are focused on excellence in clinical outcomes
Expertise in clinical excellence and the operational process to maximize quality care, productivity, clinical outcomes, clinician management, health system profitability and superior outcomes. Specific efforts in performance and quality metrics including adherence to best practice clinical guidelines, cost effective medicine and other quality indicators.
Significant understanding of manipulating data to measure and drive excellence
Ability to review processes of care and identify gaps (staffing, process, culture, etc.) to migrate to an optimum care organization
Ability to review IT infrastructure and facilitate the discussion around the necessary investments needed to set up the organization for future healthcare needs
Ability to relate effectively and with the highest degree of credibility to health system C-suite executives in the context of business development, marketing and sales as well as service delivery
What You Will Need :
A minimum of 10+ years of increasing responsibility in healthcare industry and consulting combined
Deep content expertise with providers and payers, specifically driving clinical, patient experience, quality and financial improvements
5+ yrs. of inpatient, acute health system experience
Demonstrated track record in business development, client management and measurable results for clients in health care services
Proven experience developing client relationships including current and prospective clients, ability to assess and define their needs, position relevant products and services to address their requirements and play a key role in securing new business for the firm
Licensed physician
Ability to travel, as required by client engagements to effectively deliver the work and meet/exceed client expectations
Proven ability to develop senior-level relationships with both hospitals and national health systems
A high level of intelligence, strategic, analytical and conceptual skills; and a practical approach to problem solving and business growth
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Outstanding written and oral communication skills including public speaking for large and small groups, the ability to leverage the written word in a clear, concise and compelling manner as a tool for communication and persuasion
Consulting experience preferred but not required
The annual salary range for this position is $143,200.00-$314,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
