Ph.D. in Biological sciences with expertise in vertebrate (including human) physiology. Comparable terminal degrees with expertise in vertebrate physiology will be considered (e.g. Ph.D. in Science Education, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine). Experience in teaching undergraduate physiology and/or anatomy in a face-to-face format.
Ph.D. in Biological sciences with expertise in vertebrate (including human) physiology. Experience in teaching online formats a plus. Candidates should be laboratory-oriented and student-focused, and have demonstrated excellent teaching skills at the college level. An ability to teach nutrition and human anatomy to majors and non-majors. An interest and ability in engaging undergraduates in research. The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to a team-centered biology Department.
Successful candidates will teach Human Physiology (lower division), Introduction to Nutrition (lower division), Physiology (human-focused, upper division) and other Biology courses as needed. This position is on campus, and requires the ability to teach in a face-to-face format. Academic advising. Serving on faculty committees. Provide research opportunities to Biology majors, as needed. Teach courses that serve the Core Curriculum, as needed. Engage in scholarship, as defined by the Boyer model. Successful candidates will also be expected to support ongoing and future departmental and institutional initiatives geared at enhancing the success of our student body.
