WesleyLife Assistant Director of Assisted Living in Des Moines, Iowa

Description

Our Assistant Director of Assisted Living supervises a team of Med Managers to ensure we deliver the best quality health care for the residents living in our memory care area. Our Assistant Director of AL will:

  • Assess resident needs and prepares and maintains Service Plans, in collaboration with families and other services.

  • Assist in the evaluation of the health care services needed for each resident relative to the level of lifestyle accommodations. Communicates and counsels with residents, family members and Director – Assisted living regarding potential problems, needs, and care plans as appropriate.

  • Orient, train, and provide ongoing training and supervision for team members. Ensures orientation conducted for each employee. Provides input/develops performance evaluations and recommends actions on employee complaints, resolution, terminations, etc. Assists in monitoring employee progress and provides feedback to the Director – Assisted Living as necessary. Makes recommendations to the CHA for policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day operations.

  • Oversee the scheduling practices for the John’s Harbor Memory Care, working with the assisted living scheduler/Director – Assisted Living.

  • Assisting with Med Mgmt and check-ins

  • Perform skin assessments and quarterly assessments

  • Following up on any falls or incidents

  • Managing team members

Required

  • RN licensure in the State of Iowa

  • 2-5 years: Management Experience

  • 2-5 years: Dementia/Memory Care experience
