The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is seeking a full-time Animal Services Officer to join the team! This position plays a vital role in our community by responding to animal-related calls for services such as animal care, control rescue, and relocation.

Key Responsibilities include working with the public by responding to animal-related calls where services such as control rescue, relocation, and animal care are needed. This team works collaboratively to create change in the community and have a meaningful impact every day for animals and our community.

We are seeking qualified candidates who have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to navigate streets and county roads to locate addresses or described locations with little to no difficulty. This role requires the ability to exercise independent judgement, make decisions and remain emotionally resilient while working in high stress situations, prioritization of calls for service, animal handling experience, self-motivated and the ability to work independently, with preference for a background in law enforcement, animal handling, and other direct experiences.
