This Technician II position is part of the Fast turn Blocks and Clonal Products Value Stream located in Coralville Iowa and will be full time onsite. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debate, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 9pm to 7:30am.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Purify and quantify products and samples for quality control tests. Assess QC data accurately to route and process products to meet outlined specifications.

  • Translate order requirements to process and route, or formulate, oligonucleotides to the customer’s specifications.

  • Perform a variety of PCR protocols and subsequent post PCR cleanup steps. Utilize a variety of DNA repair techniques, including site directed mutagenesis.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum associate degree in a science-related field (biology, chemistry, etc.) with equivalent relevant experience of at least 2 years.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred.

  • Proficiency with pipetting and aseptic technique.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • PCR protocols and bacterial transformations.

  • Sterilization and aseptic techniques.

  • Sequencing data or QC analysis.
