Raytheon Technologies EHS Program Manager (on-site) in Coralville, Iowa

We are currently searching for a Environment, Health and Safety Program Manager to join our EHS team in Coralville, IA. This individual would be responsible to ensure, at a minimum, company compliance with existing, new and emerging federal, state and international environmental, health and safety regulations. This requires the knowledge and technical expertise to develop and deploy environmental, health and safety policies, systems, programs and processes. This position is for an established EH&S professional.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Technical knowledge of EH&S processes and procedures. Applies these processes and implements improvements to established procedures.

  • Application of methods and techniques for hazard identification, hazard evaluation, risk assessment and control.

  • Conducts regulatory review and impacts analysis of moderate scope and complexity. Initiates process changes as needed.

  • Conducts full site inspections and participates in compliance audits.

  • Collects and manages data and maintains data records. Compiles and prepares reports and permit applications; analyzes for trends.

  • Contributes to ES&H teams and committees.

  • Develops and manages a local annual training plan including documentation and recordkeeping based on an assessment of requirements. Contributes to training program development and conducts EH&S training events.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.

  • Assists with written and spoken internal and external communication. May help prepare reports, respond to surveys, develop and maintain documents, and contribute to teamspace or website content.

  • Participate in process and information management mapping. Assists in the design and development of simple applications and tools. Helps investigate and resolve problems with process, tools and applications.

  • Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Site EPA/OSHA compliance Focal

  • REACH- Global Chemical Compliance Site Focal

  • Wastewater Management – site sampling, discharge monitoring & reporting

  • Completes 3-year MSEI documentation and reporting for reporting to the State

  • Completes data reporting and regulatory submission for Site Tier II reporting to the State

  • Completes EPCRA Site reporting for complete to the State of IA

  • Develops and Manages Site EHS Annual Operating Plan

  • Conducts Site Regulatory Inspections (SPCC, SWPPP, Universal Waste, Hazardous Waste)

  • Site Focal for Energy & Sustainability Management

  • Manages Air Emissions Program & Permitting Management

  • Manages Industrial Hygiene Program – conducts site sampling & reporting

  • Serves as Certified Laser Safety Officer

  • Serves as Certified Radiation Safety Officer – manages site dosimetry & reporting

  • Site Focal for EHS review of all new chemicals for site compliance

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing experience

  • Lean/Six Sigma experience

  • Advanced degree in engineering, relevant science, or specific environmental discipline

  • CIH/CSP certification preferred

  • 7+ years of relevant environmental compliance experience in industry or consulting

  • Possess strong problem-solving, critical thinking, reasoning, and decision-making skills

  • Advanced organizational skills, detail-orientated, and ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy

  • Able to work without direct supervision to accomplish goals and meet schedules, and work as a team leader to address specific issues

  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with various departments and levels of management
