Description:

Responsible to the Director of Rehabilitation Services and/or the designated Site Leader. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the planning, provision and coordination of all aspects of direct patient care for designated group of pediatric clients in accordance with established facility and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of quality care.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Current Iowa licensure, registration and/or certification in Speech and Language Pathology (SLP) as per state regulations by the state(s) working in. Part time and full-time therapists must obtain Illinois license within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Part-Time and Full-Time therapists may be required to complete home visits in IA and IL. Home visits require the same essential functions listed above. PRN therapists will not complete home visits.

  1. Must be a graduate of a professional training program approved by ASHA. Must have Masters' degree in Speech Language Pathology.

  2. Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.

  3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  4. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

  5. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
