Create and contribute to a broad range of communications materials, including publications, web content, newsletters, promotional materials, press releases, and announcements. Develop and implement communications recommendations, assess efficacy and update plans to accommodate changing priorities. Contribute to the realization of institutional goals through messaging as determined by leadership through COM websites, online and print publications. Collaborate with College, Department and Division colleagues to implement effective communications strategies to achieve goals. Serve as communications liaison to internal and external groups, including leadership, faculty, staff, students; Department, College of Medicine, University and UVM Health Network colleagues in communications and development; external partners and community organizations.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelors degree in English, Communications or Journalism and three-four years of experience including the application of print and online marketing tools required. Effective writing skills with the ability to explain the complex in simple terms and to tailor content to different audiences. Demonstrated strength in development of online content and experience communicating effectively in a digital environment. Project management customer service skills across a diverse group of constituents, including academic and administrative leadership required. Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
A six-month probationary period is required
