The Clinical Application Analyst, previously referred to as a CTMS Executive Super User, is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management, and configuration of Pharm-Olam's clinical applications. This person will provide regional and as necessary global support for application end-users and will support all application related tasks within the company.
Responsible for day-day administration and management of Pharm-Olam's Clinical Trial Management System.
Point of contact with the CTMS vendor in understanding their roadmap and relaying Pharm-Olam's requirements.
Works with Quality Assurance (QA) team in performing necessary validation activities.
Work with QA and the application vendor in migration efforts for legacy studies.
High degree of understanding of clinical operations' business processes.
Troubleshoots application issues, with/without vendor assistance, to resolution.
Maintains systems secruity for assigned applications.
Facilitates escalation of issues with appropriate internal resources, to resolution.
Evaluates and maintains appropriate system documentation.
Responsible for creation and configuration of new studies within clinical application as per study specific requirements.
Responsible for creation and configuration of project specific reports within clinical application.
Provide user administration and operational support, including user and security management.
Provide daily oversight and strategic guidance to the project teams on use of clinical applications.
Assist in the creation of necessary training materials and SOPs related to clinical application.
Mentor and assist in the training of internal and external staff on clinical applications.
Other duties as assigned by Associate Director, Clinical Applications or other assigned member of Management.
Reports to the Associate Director, Clinical Applications or designee.
Collaborates with Project Management, Clinical Operations staff, QA and other Pharm-Olam departments.
Liaises with vendors
Bachelor’s degree and/or combination of relevant work experience, specific to CTMS role.
Strong technical computer skills a must.
Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the clinical trials industry preferred.
Prior experience working with or managing a CTMS or other clinical trial system preferred.
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Quality Assurance/Compliance in a clinical trials setting is preferred.
Prior SQL/Relational Database experience preferred.
Service oriented approach, flexible and proactive.
Must have superior attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-driven, ability to get the job done with little supervision, can-do positive attitude.
Ability to problem-solve.
Ability to excel in a team environment.
Must have the ability to work under pressure with multiple competing priorities.
Must have strong time management, and organizational skills.
Prioritizing workload to the changing needs of the day to day business is also a critical skill.
Ability to work in strict compliance with all procedures, rules and regulations.
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
Must be self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly
