We have a rare opening for an Occupational Hand Therapist to join the DMOS team! Are you currently CHT certified or are seeking your CHT certification? As an Occupational Therapist with DMOS you will assist patients suffering from injuries to the elbow down to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability. Work alongside our team of Orthopaedic Hand Surgeons to provide the necessary treatment and care to get patients back to their activities of daily living. This is a full-time opportunity at our Ankeny office.

Do I want this job? You will plan and develop treatment for patients suffering from injuries to their upper extremity (elbow down) to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability. Be able to respond to Physician needs to quickly assist with patient care. Accurately document treatment in a timely fashion. Be understanding that our patients are hurting and may not always be super pleasant, however, they are very grateful. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experience; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious with all around us. You are naturally curious, friendly and helpful.
Can I do this job? You are a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Iowa. You have prior experience treating patients with upper extremity injuries from the elbow down. You have great typing and computer skills. A CHT certification (or working towards), preferred. Prior experience with custom hand splints and orthotics. You have great typing and computer skills. You can think on your feet with the ability to research and problem-solve as necessary.
