Process Engineer Intern Requisition ID: 26665 Job Location(s): Ames, IA, US Job DescriptionDanfosshas a great opportunity starting in January 2023 for an Industrial, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering student to gain real-world experience at our site inAmes, Iowa. TheProcess Engineering Internwill work closely with our Process Engineers in many areas of our manufacturing facility to assist in various assembly line design and improvement, support new manufacturing technologies being implemented, and improve inventory management.Job ResponsibilitiesHelp design/improve assembly line layouts and flowProvide detailed data collection and analysis (time studies, material flow, waste analysis)Work with supply chain to improve inventory managementAssist in implementing new equipment on assembly lines (including performing capability studies)Help design and implement Poka-Yokes on assembly linesImplement manufacturing controls on assembly lineHelp design and implement process improvements on assembly lineHelp improve ergonomics throughout assembly processWork with manufacturing excellence group to support implementing newest manufacturing technology (AR/VR, simulation/digital twins, collaborative robotics, AGVs, advanced vision systems, advanced Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), automation)Background and SkillsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Agricultural EngineeringFamiliar with basic hand toolsCAD and simulation experience a plusPLC and C++ programming knowledge a plusDanfoss - Engineering TomorrowAt Danfoss, we are engineering solutions that allow the world to use resources in smarter ways - driving the sustainable transformation of tomorrow.
