Description

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for an Imaging Services Support Staff Supervisor for its Ames Radiology Department. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: Organizes, plans, and directs activities relating to patient services procedures. Administers and interprets standard policies and procedures. Responds to and addresses patient and medical staff concerns, as they occur. Directs technical issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution. Acts as liaison with network offices and other health care professionals to resolve issues related to clerical support staff performance or policies. Provides training for clerical support staff and promotes staff development. Conducts orientation for new medical staff. Assigns work and supervises daily operations. Evaluates employee performance. Updates Radiology department policies and procedures, as needed. Informs and educates physician and technical staff on support staff process or policy change. Collects data, prepares reports, complies statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes. Conducts support staff meetings and contributes to department meetings. Develops goals and objectives in conjunction with radiologists, director, and technical staff. Resource for effective use of office equipment including computer printers, computer software, fax machines, and copy machines. Assists with appropriate coding and billing of exams performed at the clinic and by the radiologists at outreach locations. Assumes responsibility for supplying area according to departmental needs. Enhances professional growth through education programs, conferences, and workshops. Attends required meeting and participates in committees as requested. Maintains patient confidentiality. Performs related work, as required. Position comes with competitive clinic pay and valuable benefit package.

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED or HiSET

Days: Monday - Friday, possible occasional weekends.

Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience

  • One year work experience, preferably in a medical office environment.

  • Medical terminology experience preferred.
