Primary Health Care Clinic Support Worker in Ames, Iowa

Sign-On Bonus! This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign on bonus, payable as $1,000 at hire, $500 at 6 months, and $500 at 1 year. PHC Story County Clinic in Ames is hiring 2 part-time Clinic Support Workers to each work 20 hours per week. The typical work schedule is to be determined with hiring manager. The Clinic Support Worker is a care team member who supports the delivery of healthcare by providing clinical care and administrative support as delegated by professional clinical staff. The CSW p rovides interpretation and translation services for Spanish-speaking patients and their families, follows up on patient identified goals, identifying and matching patient needs with community resources, and advocates for culturally diverse patients. Coordinates PHC team members to engage patients, their families, and the community in the patient’s care; to provide positive experiences for patients; and to serve as a resource for staff and patients about community resources. Performs tasks which do not require a license, professional judgment, or intervention.

Do You Qualify for This Position?

Education Needed: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: One year of experience in human services, healthcare, interpretation, translation, or related field

License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers Certification* & Mandatory Reporter Certification *

  • Must be obtained within the 90 Day Introductory Period if not current.

    Other Job Requirements: Must be 18 years of age
